When a job occurs anything from 8-40 feet or so above ground, it might not be easy for you to inspect the work. So how do you know that your Cornwall roofing contractor is up to the job?
One way is to check if they’re members of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), which compels its members to meet the highest standards.

The National Federation of Roofing Contractors is the UK’s largest roofing trade association, representing over 70% of the industry by value.
Summit Roofing Solutions is a long-term member of the NFRC and its staff recently attended a course to become familiar with the latest changes to the British Standard for roofing products and their installation (the British Standard Code BS 5534 and the Code of Practice for Workmanship BS8000-6). Among other things, these included changes in recommendations for roof tile fixing and new minimum standards for underlay.
Conscientious, customer focused
Says Summit Roofing Solutions owner Adam Palmer, ‘As a Cornwall roofing business, we are very conscientious and customer focused. We believe in providing the highest standard of installation possible. By being members of trade associations such as NFRC and following their structure and standards – including the most recent BS5534 – it allows us to provide customers with complete peace of mind that their roof installation and products used will be of the highest quality.’
The new regulations came into effect on 28 February 2015 and all Summit Roofing Solutions staff are up to date with the changes.
